I love to see people change for the better by moving their body. If it’s by lifting a kettlebell overhead they thought was too heavy or they trained to reach a personal best, I love seeing the smile and self confidence that physical activity imparts to people. I also love the comradery that a gym like ELITE Strength & Performance has; everybody is encouraging and proud of their gym buddies accomplishments. It’s a great positive atmosphere.
Growing up, I was an athletic girl. I played tennis and skied and tried my hand at softball and track. As I got older, I wanted to challenge myself and trained for marathons, half marathons, and a mini-triathlon. During training, I was known as “the fast walker” and was invited to lead and motivate other walkers to complete races. It was then that I realized I enjoyed motivating people to move their bodies, pursue health and become overall happier because of their accomplishments. At that point, I decided to become an ACE certified personal trainer.
As a trainer, I enjoy teaching a mixture of kettlebells, body weight exercises and mobility drills. Personally, once I started working out with weights, I fell in love! Once I discovered kettlebells, I fell head over heels in love!! For me, combining all three in a workout program is perfection!
My training ethos is that it must be purposeful, balanced, done with good form AND it must be fun. If these four things are achieved, the potential for physical AND mental growth is immeasurable AND consistency will be easy. Consistency is key! I look forward to seeing you at the gym; it can be life changing!!
